The dredded homework days.... ;)

This is what my kids do right after school until they decide they are going to finish their homework. The kids of most day make homework a chore! On this particular day they did really good on their homework.

Best Friends!

When you have to much...

What to do with so many tomatoes when I've already made 30 jars of salsa...

Jar them! (: I decided to jar the tomatoes for my soups and chilies that always call for canned tomatoes. I also thought it would be a good idea for food storage if I ever need to make spaghetti sauce or ketchup. It was my first time jarring tomatoes and I think it was rather easy to do too!

Our freezer door didn't get shut the other night and everything on the bottom shelve thawed out (still very cold just not frozen). So I browned 3lbs ground beef, cooked two roasts, and made jerky from an elk roast and make chicken stir fry with the chicken and veggies that thawed. I am very glad that everything else was okay. I was freaking out a little when I first saw it, but Owen cooled me down. Thanks honey!!! (: Now I have most every dinner made for the rest of the week! ;)

I love me some hard workin man!

As you can see Owen was hard at work yesterday leveling out the side of our yard/driveway. He's making room to also move our garden to a better location. I am kind of thinking, well maybe a lot thinking he is JUST like his dad... Always changing things! (; I think Sheila would agree!!! (:

Good work Owen, now the retaining wall and fence needs to be put in, then all that is left is the grass! (; I love you honey and love that you are such a hard worker and always have to be doing something! Don't worry Jeff... That's why I love you too!!! (:

1st Bow Hunt...

Well, the deer bow hunt has officially started here! Owen has been so excited about this hunt. For the opening, we headed to the Kibab. It was so awesome there. The temperature was perfect, the weather was perfect, the camp sight was perfect... It was just perfect, except... Owen hit a deer the arrow went threw it and he lost it after two hours of looking! He said he knows he hit it in the guts, because of the smell of the arrow apparently. He is still really mad that he couldn't find a blood trail or the deer. Sorry babe!!!

The dogs chillin... They sure did enjoy themselves. Chopper got in trouble and had to be locked up. He kept chasing off the deer when they would come into camp. No good dog!!!

Tylar just chillin on the mat inside the tent canvas. She was having so much fun!

Rylee stuck straw in my hair and in hers and said that we were now "Indians"! lol She took this picture of me. I think she did well with the camera since she really doesn't do this to often.

It was nice to have Clint's hammock up there. It entertained the kids and was nice for some zzz's when the guys were off hunting.

Owen decided Utah really does have some nice bucks. Everyone from Arizona keeps saying that Arizona has some big Bucks but the only thing that we saw the entire weekend was small two points! Nice, right? (;

Tylar's birthday celebration...

Tylar's birthday party was quick... I hadn't really planned anything since we were camping and lets just face it, I wasn't quite ready for her birthday to hit yet! She loved all the attention she received all day though. We all sang to her about 20 times and she just smiled every time. She loved her gifts and the cup cake for about a minute. (:

"Why on earth would you light that and not let me touch it?"

"Why the heck did you just blow that out? I was gonna do it! "

Like I said, she only liked the cup cake for a minute then she wanted me to wash her hands!

The kids all helped Tylar open all her presents. At first Tylar didn't know what to do with them, but as soon as she saw that there was toys in the paper, she was all about ripping them open.

Tylar has really been such a joy to us. She is full of energy and life.

Currently Tylar:

-Has 3 teeth with a 4th that is killing her.

-Stands and will attempt a step or two.

-climbs on tables, chairs, beds and counters.

-loves phones.

-loves fuzzy blankets.

-Sings into the fan.

-eats lots of really yummy food.
-doesn't like to crawl with her knees on the carpet if she's not wearing pants.

-When the door is open she is the quickest to it.

-loves to tease with kisses and hugs.

-loves peek a boo.

-loves to pinch the back of my arm or hold on to my bra strap.

-can say, daddy, mama, ryee, bo, koee, ty ty (it's her favorite thing to say) and she just loves to babble!

-She just loves her big brother and sisters and loves to do what they are doing, even if it scares her to death.

-She is a very happy baby and loves to smile!

We love our "Ty Ty" and still can't believe she is 1, that year went by way to quickly!!!
