rash

So three days ago, Bo got this rash looking patch on his leg. It is really rough and I have tried putting every kind of rash cream on it. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Sunset beauty!

Rylee and I had the opportunity to go on a helicopter ride to the Grand Canyon this evening with Owen. He had two extra seats that needed to be filled, so he called me last minute to get there and fill them. I got Bo and Kodi ready to go to our friends Mike and Heidi's house, while Rylee and I went on our tour. Owen is such a wonderful pilot! I know it sounds bad cause I'm his wife, but he really is. Rylee was so excited to get in the helicopter. She's been dying to ride in one since we moved here, and has not had the chance to go in one. You could totally tell by her expression on her face that she was really excited to be there. There were four other people in the helicopter with us, Three of them were from Canada and the other one was from England. They
were really friendly! Anyway, here is some pictures of our ride! (:
The whole ride was video taped by a camera mounted to the top of the windshield. There is a small TV screen that shows what the camera is recording, so the whole trip to the Canyon, Rylee was watching it. She didn't like the headset on either, so she was the only one that didn't have one on. I tried to tell her that there was music and she could listen to her daddy talk, but she didn't want them on. Goofy kid!!!
There is a small spot in the Grand Canyon, where all the helicopter pilots land to let their passengers walk around and then have a small picnic (provided by the pilots). Owen took Rylee down a ways on a trail to see the rocks and the Colorado river.
I have to tell you... When we arrived there, Rylee told me that she needed to go to the bathroom. There is NO bathrooms there, just bushes. She I start hiking towards some bushes and she starts pointing to every plant I past and said, "Wait mom... Stop, there is a bush! NO, STOP!!!! I was laughing so hard by the time that I finally got to the bush I wanted her to go in.(: As soon as she got her skirt and panties off, she just started to pee. She didn't even squat, so it was all down her legs. I just cleaned her off and laughed! She is doing so well with no accidents still! (:
With the picnic snacks, they get served Champagne in plastic champagne glasses. Owen gave Rylee some sprite in one and she loved it. She told me to take it home for her. In the picture with Owen in it, she shoved a cookie in her mouth so I could take the picture without having to take the cookie away!
She loved hiking around on all the rocks!
Here is the beautiful Sunset that Rylee slept through. (:

My children are going to be the death of me!

Oh boy, is this going to be something interesting for me to tell about! I know it is rather late, but I'm having a really hard time falling asleep, so I have decided to tell everyone the scary event that happened to me just now! So, I put the kids to bed and started the "Harry Potter -Goblet of fire" movie. Of course, the kids didn't go strait to bed, they played in their dark room for a while. They usually just go strait to bed after they realize, Owen or myself are not going to come in. I finished my movie, put Kodi in her crib and let the dogs in. I had a really strong feeling that I should check on the kids to make sure they were in their beds and to make sure they were covered with some sort of blanket. I first noticed that the blinds were a mess and up on a slant, then I noticed Bo was in the fetal position on his bed with no clothes or blanket on. I didn't want to wake him, so I just threw a blanket over him and then went to check on Rylee. I noticed that the blind string was leading over to her, so I figured she had tied it to the bed or something. To explain, Bo and Rylee share a bunk bed... Rylee on top and Bo on the bottom! Well, The blind string was tied around her neck and in a knot, So tight in a matter of speaking that when I untied it, it made a really deep red mark! Yeah...When I saw it, my heart stopped and I just about quit breathing! I thought she was dead by the position she was in. She looked like she had tried to untie it herself and failed, so she decided to prop the pillow up and try to go to sleep sitting up, with her head kind of kinked. I don't know what would have happened if I didn't go check on them when I did. I now have the string tied in a knot so she or Bo cant get to it! I'm still trying to get my heart rate to drop back to normal, and to quit shaking! I don't know what I am going to do with her. She is in this really weird stage where she likes to tie things around her neck! AAHHHH, I'm going to drive myself crazy thinking about what could happen now!

New job

I forgot to post on Tuesday that, Owen officially started his touring at the Grand Canyon for Sundance Helicopters! He's been in training for the past three weeks, so it's been a little crazy, but now his job has officially started. Yeah!!! The training, was learning how to fly a bigger helicopter, which he mastered really quick. He passed his 2 check rides with flying colors too. Good job Owen! He then had to go through the finger printing process for the FBI which he failed the first time around, so they had to do it again. That delayed working for an extra week, dang FBI! Anyway, Owen is loving his new job and is grateful for the opportunity to be working.

Good Job Rylee!

Rylee has officially not had a single accident in 3 whole days (including nights)! She has even been wearing panties to bed. She even used the potty at our ward enrichment party last night. Thanks Ashley for helping with that! Our incentive for her is that, she has to use the potty for a whole week with no accidents if she wants to see her grandma and grandpa Park. It’s really cute, every time she’s on the potty, she talks about her grandparents and all their animals. She’s a crack up!!!

Easter

This last weekend, we all went up to St. George to the Stapley's for Easter. We went to the Washington city Easter egg hunt Saturday morning. Let me tell you, that was way to crazy for me! Then later on that afternoon, we went Snowmobiling and played in the snow in Beaver at Brads families cabin. Sunday the Easter bunny came and gave the kids some really fun toys and a movie. It was a lot of fun! Thanks Jana and Brad!

Owen and Rylee at the Washington Easter egg hunt. Rylee was really scared to get the candy when they said to go in and get it. There was so many kids and adults running in and shoving candy in their kids baskets, I was a little scared to go in myself!

Bo at the Easter egg hunt

What a funny kid! If you look close enough, you can see the drool falling from his mouth. (;

Kodi enjoying the outdoors!

double YEAH!!!

So, I should have posted this last night when I found out, but I’ll just do it now. The Chevy dealership (where our tahoe is) called and told us that our warranty company approved the work to be done on our transmission. That means we don’t have to pay anything and they will give us a rental car too for the remainder time our tahoe is in the shop! I gotta tell you…. I didn’t think that we were going to come out on the good side of this, but we did and I am so grateful! We should get our tahoe back on Wednesday evening hopefully. The wonderful mechanic at Chevy has been such a sweet heart, he has worked so hard on getting it done for us. I kind of gave him a guilt trip on my situation when he said it would take till Tuesday closing time, to get it approved. Hey, it worked didn’t it? (:
Oh, I have to tell you also… Our Easter outfit that I needed help with, I don’t need help anymore. I found an outfit for me and I’m really grateful for all the help and opinions I received, thanks! I ended up getting a really cute white skirt at Sam’s and then a really cute white top at American Eagle. I hope the double white isn’t a bad fashion mistake, but I guess I’m not in with the fashion anyway, so o-well! (; Here is the picture of them together, tell me what you think!

Full house=6+Owen and myself!

This past weekend, Owen and I had the pleasure of watching my sister and brother in laws 3 kids. I know what you are thinking, and NO… It wasn’t bad at all! Ok, wait I lied a little! Church was a big fat pain in the neck, but hey, we lived didn’t we? (; between messes, meal time, bath time, play time and bed time, there was really no dull moments. I’ll have to admit, it made life busy, but it was fun! I love the time I get to actually get to know my nieces. I don’t feel like my aunts or uncles really know me, so I love the adventure of learning about mine! (:

Frustrations!!!

So… Our 2005 tahoe that we have only had since August 3rd kicked the bucket this last weekend!!! I just took it in to the Dodge dealership (where we got it) and they took it to Chevy to see what was wrong. Come to find out that our transmission is shot and needs a lot of TLC and money for that matter. We did get the extended warranty, but the warranty department is not sure if they are going to cover the cost of the damages done! I’ll know more later on what they will cover, but I have a feeling that we are screwed in this case. That’s just how the last two months have been going for us. ):

Dumont Dunes

Our friends Tiffany and Dave from Page, Arizona invited us to go to “Dumont Dunes” in California over the weekend. Their two girls, family and friends we're also there, so it was one big party. It was a lot of fun! We really enjoyed EVERYTHING, from the Friends, sun, sand and riding. It turned out to be a wonderful weekend! (besides the 4+ hour wind storm/"white out" that hit us Saturday afternoon!)

On Saturday morning, Rylee helped Owen make us breakfast. She is such a big helper!

The kids loved playing in the sand. I helped them find the wet stuff by digging deep in the sand. They thought it was cool that you could shape the sand when it was wet. They sure got messy!

I think we found Bo’s new obsession! He even put the helmet on by himself. He would sleep and eat on it if we let him! (:
Little Kodi just loved being outside so she could see what was going on. She just sat in the wagon and smiled!

Dave took us out for a ride in their dune buggy. That thing is FAST and FUN! (: (In the picture it was Owen and Dave.)

More battle wounds from the weekend. I honestly think he gets a new one daily!

Get along or else!!! (;

Rylee and Bo kept fighting over everything, so I tied them together! It only lasted for about 15 seconds, but it was funny while it lasted. Rylee loved it! She thought it was great and wanted me to tie them back together.

Angels

This was sent by a really close friend of mine, Cheryl. Thanks!!
ENJOY!
A drunk man in an Oldsmobile
They said had run the light
That caused the six-car pileup
On 109 that night.
When broken bodies lay about
"And blood was everywhere,"
"The sirens screamed out eulogies,"
For death was in the air.
"A mother, trapped inside her car,"
Was heard above the noise;
Her plaintive plea near split the air:
"Oh, God, please spare my boys!"
She fought to loose her pinned hands;
"She struggled to get free,"
But mangled metal held her fast
In grim captivity.
Her frightened eyes then focused
"On where the back seat once had been,"
But all she saw was broken glass and
Two children's seats crushed in.
Her twins were nowhere to be seen;
"She did not hear them cry, "
"And then she prayed they'd been thrown free, "
"Oh, God, don't let them die! "
Then firemen came and cut her loose, "
"But when they searched the back, "
"They found therein no little boys, "
But the seat belts were intact.
They thought the woman had gone mad
"And was traveling alone, "
"But when they turned to question her, "
They discovered she was gone.
Policemen saw her running wild
And screaming above the noise
"In beseeching supplication, "
Please help me find my boys!
They're four years old and wear blue shirts;
"Their jeans are blue to match.""
"One cop spoke up, ""They're in my car, "
And they don't have a scratch.
They said their daddy put them there
"And gave them each a cone, "
Then told them both to wait for Mom
To come and take them home.
"I've searched the area high and low, "
But I can't find their dad.
"He must have fled the scene, "
"I guess, and that is very bad."
"The mother hugged the twins and said, "
"While wiping at a tear, "
"He could not flee the scene, you see, "
"For he's been dead a year."
"The cop just looked confused and asked, "
"Now, how can that be true? "
"The boys said, ""Mommy, Daddy came "
"And left a kiss for you."" "
He told us not to worry
"And that you would be all right, "
And then he put us in this car with
"The pretty, flashing light. "
"We wanted him to stay with us, "
"Because we miss him so, "
"But Mommy, he just hugged us tight "
And said he had to go.
He said someday we'd understand
"And told us not to fuss, "
"And he said to tell you, Mommy, "
"He's watching over us."
The mother knew without a doubt
"That what they spoke was true, "
"For she recalled their dad's last words, " " I will watch over you."
The firemen's notes could not explain
"The twisted, mangled car, "
And how the three of them escaped
Without a single scar.
"But on the cop's report was scribed, "
"In print so very fine, "
An angel walked the beat tonight on Highway 109.
This poem really got to me... I do believe that angels are watching over us. My brother wouldn't be here if that wern't true! He was hit by a car going 50mph at 2 years old, dead on... And lived without a broken bone or anything really. He flew several feet and landed on the curb, the curb split his chin open is all. The hospital already had life flight waiting for him to arrive. the docters that examined him said that he should have been dead, they kept him over night to watch him and when they released him the next day, they told my parents that, "he wasn't the person that got hit... He's got a gardian angel!" I truley believe it!!! (:

Accident-prone

Bo fell off our bar height chairs yesterday while eating lunch and then pulled one on top of himself. I think I'm going to have to accept that he is VERY accident prone. He is always getting hurt and falling down or off things. What a kid!

Owen got home yesterday and Rylee wouldn't let him rest at all alone. She needs to be right up close to her daddy!
