What the heck??

This evening after spending time with my family, I walked out to the mail box to get the mail! On the top of the stack of letters and junk mail was a white letter to me that said in big red letters "Jury duty"! First of all... Owen hasn't even been summoned to do jury duty (he's 30). Second, I just registered to vote about a month ago (last time I do that in a different state). And lastly... I have three small kids. Can't they just bug someone without kids or someone with not much responsibility to do the dirty work? I mean, come on!!! I am going to call in to report to them that I do have the three small children and that if they want me to go, they'll have to get a babysitter and pay for the sitting charge! (: Anyway, fun stuff!

It's my little sister Erika's 18th birthday today! Happy birthday!!! She isn't dating anyone at the moment, so if anyone knows any single, fun and atractive guys... Hook her up! lol (;

Week with Bridger and Erika

This week, my sister Eirka and Owens brother Bridger came to visit us. Owen took them both on a helicopter ride to the "Grand Canyon". Owen and Bridger also went on a bike ride up the mountains. Bridger, Erika and I went on a small hike with the kids up "Red Rock" and we also went to the Vegas strip to see the water show at the Bellagio. It was a very fun and entertaining visit that I would love to have happen again! (:

Last night for my birthday with the kids and Owen, we decorated a Halloween ginger bread house(cake lol). It was so much fun decorating it and seeing the kids creativity! We painted each others lips with frosting and took some fun pictures. Enjoy!!!

Kodi's walking (well... With a little help!)

Three days ago, Kodi started walking with help of her little walking toy. She's getting really brave and starting to stand and take steps without assistance. It's really funny... Every time she stands or tries walking with out assistance and I clap or praise her, she sits really fast and sometimes starts crying. I'm now starting to act like I don't see her do it, unless she is using this toy. She is growing up so fast! She is going to be ONE at the end of the month and I'm not quite sure I'm ready for that to come into effect! ):

Last night, we had some friends of ours over to celebrate my birthday. I enjoyed all of their company and had such a fun time with everyone, it ended up being such a fun evening!

I thought I would also tell everyone, I have such an amazingly sweet husband that I love to death! Last night, he surprised me with some pretty flowers. I love flowers, so it really made most of my night. Then this morning, when he and the kids all woke up, he walked up to me and handed me red roses. Rylee and him both sang happy birthday to me. It was such a wonderful morning! (:

Our little Kodi

Everyday, Kodi does something big. It seems like she was just born and now she is becoming our little toddler! Today she started giving kisses and saying, "Hi!" She is just growing up way to quickly.

11 months!!

My baby is standing! She walks with her little push toys and likes to let go and just stand there. I am not to sure I want her to grow up just yet. I mean, I want her to be my baby and she's growing up way to fast. I know she's going to be one in less then a month now, but I'm just not ready! ):

She has developed a little attitude and personality (definitely all GIRL). We have enjoyed watching her quick changes. She is a mischievous and playful little stinker and we love her!

dehydrator crazy (;

For the past month, I have been dehydrating so much beef jerky and dried apples with Cinnamon (Owen and the kids favorites not to mention way healthy!!!). I do at least 2 batches a day and they only last a good day. I love that they are all enjoying my hard work. Anyway, Does anyone know any really good marinade recipes for beef jerky? I've tried to change it up a bit, but have been really unsuccessful!
