Sister's wedding date update...

As I mentioned before, my little sister Erika is getting married to Tyler Barney... Now, the wedding date has changed oh I don't know, 6-7 times! Well, I am posting this to let all you know that it is finalized! It is going to be held on Wednesday August 4, 2010 at the Timpanogas Temple in Utah! It's a little quick we all know, so if I am a little distant from the posting, I'm going to be busy helping with as much as I can with my sisters.

New phone (:

I have been dying to switch phone services since we moved here since T Mobile really sucks here. It has taken a little over a year for T Mobile to finely let me off their service without having to pay the $250 cancellation fee. Owen now has me added to his Verizon and I LOVE it! No more dropped calls, no more not receiving voice messages, texts or phone calls in general or anything. Did I mention I LOVE it? (: For signing up, I got a new phone for free too, which I also LOVE. Anyway, it is still the same old number, just different services which was another bonus. This is the phone I got... Nothing fancy, but LOTS better then the one I had before!

I just want to make a little side note to Owen here;
Owen, You are such an amazing father and husband. Words can't express me love and appreciation to you for all you do for me and our children. You are so loving and try so hard to make everything "equal". I know the kids love you and love that you spend time with them. I know they will always treasure the times spent with them. I know our kids are going to turn out prefect because of the amazing example you are. I love you and hope you have a wonderful fathers day!
Love,
Bree
Just a quick experience I have to share that happened last night at a softball game we went to...
While Owen and I were watching the game, Rylee and Kodi were running around playing with random friends that were playing around (all girls since that's really all we have here where we live). BO saw that some older boys were playing basketball. He decided he wanted to play so he just walked in the court and started playing with the big kids. The boys tried really hard to be patient with him, but after awhile, they asked BO where his parents were. He thought that was so cool so he walked over to us and (really excited) said, "Here is my mom and that's my dad"! The boy then leaned into Owen and asked if he could keep BO with him so the older kids could finish their game. Owen had to explain to BO that they didn't want him to play with them cause he was to little. BO just wasn't getting it... After a small conversation with BO on why he couldn't play, BO was crushed! Now, I tell this little experience, because Owen was so bothered BO was to little to play that when we got home (and he was still bothered) Owen was thinking of different things he could do with BO that just he and dad could do. He thought of things like putting at the golf course, one on one basketball and things that BO loves to do with dad. This is just one example of what a wonderful, caring dad Owen is!

Hydronephrosis??

Alright, here is all is in a nut shell...
Sunday morning when I woke up, I thought I had developed a UTI, so I began to drink the entire bottle of cranberry juice (usually does the trick). We all got ready to church, including myself and Headed to church. About the time the water was passed around for the sacrament was about the time it hit me. I had to go #1 and right then. I waited til the sacrament was all over then ran to the restroom. Nothing happened and I about doubled over in pain. I poked my head in the chapel and asked Owen for the keys. I drove home, hoping that my bathroom would do the trick. I was there for about 10 minutes and decided that going back to Church wasn't a good option so I text Owen. We made arraignments to meet up at the entrance door about 5 minutes after I text him. As I started to drive, the pain got even worse and I could barley move. Owen and I decided it was best to get me checked out at the ER since I thought I was actually in labor. He drops me off to make arrangements for the kids and came back. They did ultrasounds, pain med and tests after tests after tests. Good news was the baby was great, no early labor and all the test were coming back really good. That didn't mean a thing to me since I could barley focus on what they were telling me. After the ultrasound results came back, they decided it was my right kidney causing all the fuss and diagnosed me with Hydronephrosis. They said that either my uterus or a stone had blocked my right ureter causing inflammation to my right kidney. They decided to keep me over night to keep me medicated and to watch my progress. The next day, I was in worse pain, so they called in another ultrasound. This time, the left kidney was starting to get inflamed. Owen made arrangements with my sister Jana to come get the kids for a few days and about the time that they got off the phone, the hospital decided it would be best to life flight me to St. George. The medics and nurses on Owens life flight team don't like transporting pregnant women, so without insurance the doctor agreed to allow my sister to drive me to the St. George hospital. Just before leaving, they medicated me so I couldn't even feel my toes. Jana drove my kids and I to St. George and I was monitored again for the next 12 hours and starved for about 20+ (NO GOOD). The hospital in St. George sent me to Radiology and did some more scans and then decided to starve me some more and send me into surgery (by the way... the results were it was all caused by my uterus, no stones). Long story short, Urologist decided on his own that the surgery would put me in more pain then anything and my OB decided that he didn't want to take the risk of putting me in pre term labor. They decided to let me go home and try some other techniques to help with the problem and what do you know... It worked (so far). I am off pain meds and am sleeping on my tummy with the help of about 7 pillows and no snuggling my handsome man at night. I go in for a fallow up on Wednesday to see if everything is working properly and we'll go from there.
Thanks everyone for all your prayers, blessings, help with the kids and Owen and just everything. I really don't know what they would have done without all your help! I had lots of help with the kids, my home was clean when I got home and I had meals delivered to us for a few nights! A very special thanks to my sister Jana who dropped everything to come get my kids, she even helped drop me off at the hospital, she kept my kids for the time I was in St. George and even brought me some panda express to eat. I really don't know what Owen and I would have done without your help, thanks again!

more family visiters

My dad, two brothers (Porter and Michael) and sister Sierra came into town last weekend to visit. They did some fishing, riding quads, shot some be-be guns and then went on a helicopter ride. Here is some pics of their ride.

Things I've missed posting in May....

Our friends Mike and Heidi came here for a quick visit. They first took us to the Brian Reagan comedy show in St. George for Owen's birthday then they came here. Owen and Mike went on a bike ride and then they took BO on a hike. Here are a few pics of that hike.
(Here is BO, our dogs and Mike on their hike)

(this is pictures of a beautiful cactus that they saw on their hike)

A few days after Mike and Heidi's visit, our other friends Jordan and Sabrina with their two cute kids also stopped by for a few days. Jordan was Owens college roommate. We tried taking them on a little hike with the kids, but getting sand blasted wasn't all that fun. Owen did however take them on a hike the evening before they left to go to Vegas with the Elders from our ward.
(This is the hike they took with the Elders)
(Owen and Kodi with the dogs and then Jordan, Sabrina, Rylee and Luke and Olivia on the hike that we ended up cutting short due to wind and sand.)

Memorial weekend...
Jana and Brad invited us to go with them to Zions to stay in a HUGE cabin at the "Ponderosa resort". It was so much fun. We went on a few four wheel rides, mountain bike rides, played at the park there, swam in the pool and the guys played some basketball. It was way to nice to call in camping, but we still enjoyed it a whole bunch. Thanks guys again for inviting us, we all had soooo much fun! (:

Bo's first fish!

This morning Owen took BO, my dad, brothers and sister Sierra out to the lake to do some fishing. Not only was it BO's first fish EVER, BO was the only one that caught a fish! Good job buddy!!!
