A new discovery... YUM!
One of Owen and my favorite things to eat when we go to Red Lobster is there amazing garlic cheese biscuits. Although they are probably REALLY fattening, I thought I would try to make some... They were a success and I think I found trouble! OOPS!
Garlic cheese biscuits
(like the ones served at "red lobster")
Here are two different recipes that I have tried....

Ingredients
Ingredients
1 3/4 c all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp baking powder
5 tbs butter
1 c milk
1 c shredded cheddar cheese
1/4 c butter, melted
1 garlic clove, minced
Directions
Preheat oven to 450 degrees F (230 degrees C)
In a large bowl, sift together flour, salt and baking powder. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Make a well in the center of flour mixture. Add the milk and cheddar cheese; stir to combine. Drop batter by spoonfuls onto an un-greased baking sheet.
Bake in preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, until lightly browned. While biscuits are baking mix melted butter and minced garlic. Brush over hot baked biscuits.

3 tsp garlic powder, divided
2-1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp chicken bouillon granules
1/2 c butter flavored shortening
3/4 c shredded cheddar cheese
1 c buttermilk
3 tbs butter, melted
Directions
In a small bowl, combine the flour, 2 tsp garlic powder, baking powder, baking soda and bouillon; cut in shortening until mixture is crumbly. Add cheese. Stir in buttermilk just until moistened.
Drop by heaping tablespoonfuls 1 inch apart onto a non stick baking sheet. Bake at 450 degrees F for 9-11 minutes. Combine the butter and remaining garlic powder; brush over baked biscuits. serve warm.

Kodi's new hair cut
Kodi got a hair cut.... She woke up telling me that she wanted her hair cut, which started because I had just cut BO's hair the other night.
As I started cutting Kodi's hair, she began telling me that she wanted it like mine (LONG), oops! So the pixie bob cut is what she got. Maybe I'll let her grow it out if she can promise beyond all promises that she absolutely will not get scissors close to her hair or even think about scissors close to her hair (except by an adult of course).

Jerky recipe (requested by Brittena)
3 lbs of meat... I have used beef and elk with this and I really cant tell the difference.
2/3 c Worcestershire sauce
2/3 c soy sauce
1 tsp course ground pepper
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp liquid smoke (optional-but I use it and love it)
1-3 tsp Tabasco sauce (optional- I sometimes use this depending on how hot I really want it)
marinate overnight. pull out strips and pat dry with paper towels. Place on dehydrator rack. OPTIONAL: lightly sprinkle course pepper over all the meat. flip on dehydrator and cook however long it takes to cook it. Only about 2-3 hours for one of my dehydrators but the other one that I have takes 1-2 days!

This my friends is jerky marinating! It is oh so yummy and so dang easy to make!
I can honestly say that despite the nastiness of handling raw meat, it is one of my favorite things to make, with my dehydrator of course! (;

Our goofy Kodi bug..
This morning Kodi walked into my room while I was getting ready for the day. She had on Owen's sweat shirt and she said that she was "fweezin"!
Not 5 minutes later, she walked in with her string cheese wearing her swim suit!
Now the swim suit really isn't all that odd for her. Just about everyday I tell her to take it off because it's way to cold outside, but I just thought it was extra funny when she was "fweezin" one second and in 90 degree weather attire the next second! lol

Tylar is just so cute when she is sleeping, so I took some pictures of her... I thought it was also funny that her lips are pokin' out. What a cute baby girl! (:
Kodi's sad time...
Everyday Kodi does this..... I think this day, Owen and I told her she couldn't have ice cream or something like that. It gets a little old and I get annoyed of it every time, so I decided to document it. Isn't she cute when she's mad?
Christmas 2010
Our Christmas morning, we had only lived in our house for a grand total of 3 days. It was crazy! We did get our tree and some decorations up so that Santa could find our house. Owen likes to get up Christmas morning WAY to early if you ask me, but hey... The kids really enjoy it and after all the excitement, we can all take a well needed nap. I didn't get very many pictures. Since we just moved in and half most of the stuff was still packed, the charger to my camera was packed as well.
Santa spoiled everyone.
Rylee got a nice barbie, a tutu, clothes, books, movies and a CD player (she got other things too, I just cant remember.). Kodi got about the exact same as Rylee. Tylar got a Bubmo baby seat and BO got a .22 to share with the girls, a compact bow like dad, clothes, books and other fun little things.
Cute baby Tylar again...
I couldn't decide which cuteness to post here, so you get them all! Tylar was having one of her all day good moods so I was lucky enough to get several good smiles.
