In my opinion...

The past two days, I have been into watching the old style movies. I have watched three while sewing. Now don't continue reading if you haven't seen, "Pride and prejudice", "The Duchess" or "Becoming Jane". I may have said a few things that give some things away, not much, but a little for sure! (;

(Not sure if it is a true story or not)

This was a good one... A little frustrating at the end. I don't like movies that just end, even if it is a happy ending.

(A true story)

Another good one. But what is up with the love triangle?!? I wish it at least had a happy ending anyway.

(A true story)

This one just bugged me! It was still a really good movie. I HATE none happy ending though, have I not mentioned this already... come on!!!

I did like all three and would watch them again. I just really like love stories and wish they all had happy endings. A little Romeo and Juliet isn't okay with me! I like love stories with no death of one or both of the lovers and definitely not the lovers marrying other people! NO good!!!

Yummy!

These cookies are so yummy. I just came up with the recipe adding things I wanted in a cookie. I think they turned out rather delicious and I think I'm going to add them to one of my favorite cookies list! They are light, fluffy and moist.

Tell me what you think!

nutty, chocolaty, oaty and soft cookie (not entirely sure what to call these *a little help please!) By:Brianna Park

¾ c applesauce

1 c packed brown sugar

½ c Stevia

1 tsp baking powder

¼ tsp baking soda

½ tsp cinnamon

3 egg whites

1 tsp vanilla

1½ c wheat flour

1½ c rolled oats

½ c finely chopped walnuts or pecans

1/4-1/3 bag of small semi sweet chocolate chips or chopped up regular semi sweet c. chips

Pre heat oven to 375 degrees. In a medium mixing bowl, beat together applesauce, brown sugar, Stevia, baking powder, baking soda, ¼ tsp salt and cinnamon with an electric mixer until combined. Scrape sides of bowl. Beat in the egg whites and vanilla. Beat in as much of the flour as you can. Stir in remaining flour. Stir in rolled oats, walnuts or pecans and the chocolate chips.

Make dough into about 1-2 inch round balls or use a cookies scoop. Place dough about 2 inches apart from one another on a cookie sheet. Bake for about 10-12 minutes or until edges are a light brown color. Cool on cookie sheet about 1 minute. Place on a wire cooling rack until ready to eat.

Enjoy, yum! (:

Last update (for now)...

In our basement, we had three very small windows that sucked. Owens dad Jeff and Owen got talking and Jeff happened to have three bigger windows that he wasn't using. Well, Owen bought three really big window wells and then dug three really big holes in our back yard (creating a big mess). Owen started to cut out the holes for the windows and it ended up being a little bit of a bigger project then he was thinking. My new amazing dad brought his cement saw with him when everyone came to visit and he finished cutting the holes for the window. Owen and I took sledge hammers to the cinder blocks and cleared out the holes and Owen framed in the windows and installed them.

Here is the Before:

And the After:

So much better, wouldn't you say?!? (:

Thanks again Jeff for the windows! Thanks Ronnie for cutting those out for us! Thank you honey for getting it done for me! I am more then thrilled with the outcome of it all, Thanks! (:

Well, we are slowly getting things done on this house as you can see, but with busy lives and such Im just glad things are getting done! (:

Next update...

Remember this room???

Ya, this was the room I said was the "creepy room" that I didn't want to open. It had an opening to the outside that was used for a coal shoot forever ago. It had absolutely nothing in it except for dead bugs, spiders and a dead snake in it. Well, a few weeks ago we filled the shoot with cement and then the other day Owen and I cleaned it out really well, added shelves and Wallah....

We now have a really big cold storage room with lots and lots of storage space! (:

Update...

The next three days are going to consist of things we have completed with our house. They may be small things, but they are HUGE to us! (;

I don't know if I ever posted the kids room completed, so here is the works...

Before:

After:

Nice right?!? I think it is 50 times better, brighter and happier then the before. I am proud to say I did 90% of the work myself too. Bridger installed the fan (since there wasn't even a light fixture or anything electrical on the ceiling) and Owen did the bead board and the chair railing. I did the wall paper removal, curtain removal, texturing, painting, decorating and then put shelves in the closet for the kids million books!

Now if only I can find curtains that are cute and then a vinyl mural or something fun to put up it will be complete, but until I find those, it is done! (:

Sneaky stinker...

Kodi left her cheese sticks out on the table for only a minute and when she went to finish them, Tylar beat her to it! I think Tylar enjoyed them more then Kodi would have anyway! lol

Front yard fun...

Best investment EVER!!! The kids just love this little swing set. Our front yard seriously looks like an amusement park. We have a trampoline, swing set, pool and we did have a slip and slide too! What is a front yard for anyway?!? (;

When the older two were on the swing here, Kodi thought it would be a good time to get them with the water shooters. It was priceless!!!

Messes...

Koid was trying to cool off her oatmeal by sticking it out the door and holding it there. I told her that I didn't like her doing that because they end up spilling it. She said, "no I don't!" Not two seconds later, this happened....

Nice right?!? UGH, kids!!! /:

Happy 5th Birthday BO!!!

Can you believe it???? BO is 5! He's starting Kindergarten in less then 3 weeks too!!!

We had a little birthday celebration for BO and it turned out to be so much fun. BO was about 45 minutes late to it though, do to a flat on the air plane that Owen flew to Vegas.

(Owen had to go for a flight exam thing and BO wanted to go to see Mike and Heidi.)

The water balloon fight was hilarious and the kids really enjoyed themselves. (;

Owen playing in the water too.... Kids didn't stand a chance! lol

Slip n slide... I think the slip in slide was the best part (aside from the water balloons).

**Dang! I just realized I didn't get the kids actually going down the slip in slide, sorry! /:

BO's birthday candles were the trick ones and he thought it was hilarious that the candles kept re lighting, they went forever!!!

BO opening his gifts... He got lots of really cool stuff!

How I decorated the front porch...

BO's cake before and after I put on the "Happy B-day BO!"

Ty-Ty loving her animal cookies. She was in the ZONE! (:

Can you believe in exactly one month from today Ty is going to be 1? ):

Girls weekend in St. George

A bunch of us mom's from Page needed a little break. We decided a few months ago that we needed a "girls weekend" in St George to go see "Grease" at "Tuicon".

We headed up around 11am our time on Saturday and when we got there, I dropped some of the girls off to do their thing and I went and visited my sister Jana and her family. After the visit, I went and grabbed the girls, we got our names put on the hour long waiting list at the "Olive Garden" and we headed to "Target" to get some snacks for the play. We met up with the rest of our group and ate our dinner.

The Play was really cute and it was just nice to not have kids screaming in my ear for a whole 24 hours!

***THANK YOU OWEN FOR KEEPING THE KIDS AND ALLOWING ME TO GO HAVE A NICE TIME WITH THE GIRLS**

I only got two picture of the whole event, but hey.... I at least got those! (;

Tylar, so cute!(:

While I was getting ready for my "girls weekend" in St. George (pictures coming tomorrow), Tylar fallowed me around the house for about an hour screaming. She knew something was up and she didn't like it. Now I know she loves me! (;

-right when I got home I heard her freaking out crawling towards me. She found me and just smiled and put her arms up for me to pick her up * (:

Lake trip with friends...

On Friday we headed to the lake with two of our friend families from here. They both have boats (I know we really need to get in the loop and get one lol). We did wake boarding, tubing, knee boarding and lots and lots of swimming. We all had such a fun time with our friends. (:

Little Tylar bug kept snuggling up to my chest and going to sleep. She was so exhausted!

Rylee and her friend Zoe being goof balls and putting their hands up in the air.

Zoe did awesome on the knee board.

Zack did really well too.

Jared getting Rylee ready to go just like he did with Zack and Zoe. He would hang on the back for a little bit til he knew they were really doing on their own, than he would let go.

Jared just let go of Rylee about 5 feet back...

Rylee starting to freak out about another foot later, then she let go! (;

She still did amazingly well for never getting on anything in the water like this!
