ITALY trip

We are back!!! Just in case you were wondering what the heck happened to us, we went to Italy for a week and just got back last night. Can I just tell you that Owen and I had such a fantastic time there!?! Owen's parents kept our kids while we were in Italy with the help of other friends and family members (thanks to all that helped her!!!). Anyway, it was such an amazing adventure that we will NEVER forget! We ended up going with Tony (a guy from Owen's past two helicopter jobs) and Tony's cousin Lisa, her husband Steve and their friends Andrea, Eddy, their baby Colbey, Mildrid and Sammy.

We landed in Milan on the 18th, drove to Como, stayed in Nesso (3 miles away from Bellagio) and visited Venice, Florance and Rome. Enjoy the pictures....

This is a church that was right next to our villa. There is one every 3-4 blocks apart from each other and they all look exactly the same along the Lake Como.

Dinner at the Bellagio just 3 miles away from the villa. (Just a side note about the food in Italy.... It is the BEST food ever and I have never tasted spaghetti like they have in Italy!!!)

Game night. This was such a funny night. We all stayed up til 5-6am and played catch phrase. We all laughed so hard, our cheeks hurt! We had a really funny group! (;

These are the gladiators that walk around the coliseum taking pictures with the tourists. The short haired one is David and I tipped him for giving us directions and being a goof ball, so he insisted that I take some pictures with he and his partner. The long haired one, Owen and I both thought was going to kiss me, so I totally couldn't keep a strait face. Then David did a threat pose with Owen and then laid one on my cheek! I was so red and laughing so hard, it was a fun experience for sure!!! (;

This picture was taken last year when Owen just started at Sundance Helicopters. He had two empty seats, so Rylee and I got to go for a ride to the Grand Canyon. The pilots serve their passengers a picnic basket and wine or pop. Rylee loved the plastic wine cups. Owen put sprite in it and this is how she decided to drink it! Kids will be kids, hu?!?

Kodi finely got some teeth! She has 4 on top and 2 on bottom. There maybe more, but she wont let me look. I officially felt the 6 that have broken threw (just barley). YEAH!!!! We've been wondering if we needed to invest in infant dentures or something since she's pushing a year and a half. Holy cow... They took FOREVER to break threw! Anyway, when they are actually visible for a camera, I will take some pictures and post them for everyone to see! lol

Kids update...

I took Rylee into the doctor this morning due to constant cough and lack of ANY sleep. The Doctor diagnosed her with severe croup, an upper respiratory infection and an ear infection. He prescribed her with an antibiotic and steroids. He was really nervous about her breathing, but said she should be fine. The other two kids aren't bad, just a slight cough and runny nose, so I didn't take them in. Hopefully Rylee is the only one that is going on antibiotics this round. Anyway, other then that Owen is starting to get sick and I am still with a sinus infection that wont quit. I really hope you all are doing well and at least better than we are doing.

Owen did it!!!

Owen is officially a fixed wing (airplane) pilot. He passed his test and check ride today. Now he flies both a helicopter and airplane. Congratulations Honey!!!

I am sooo proud of you honey! You always say your going to do something and you always get it done. I love you!

A bad night....

This morning at 2:30am while I was sleeping, Rylee jumped out of bed and ran to her bathroom. It startled me, so I woke up. I went to see what she was doing when she was in there for 10 minutes. First off, let me tell you that we are ALL still sick (excluding Owen). I had Owen and our home teacher Matt give Rylee a blessing last night cause she was sooo bad, I'm talking not even coherent! Anyway, she was crying on the toilet. She said that she hurt all over, so I gave her some Motrin and some mucinex both of witch took me 10 minutes a piece to give her. After giving her the mucinex, she threw up all over me. After that, she finely went back to sleep. I rubbed some infant Vick's all over her chest and throat. I was doing everything I could think of to help her sleep better. I even tried both of our humidifiers (cold and hot) and BOTH weren't working for me... I was going nuts at this point, so I threw some clothes and shoes on and drove to Wal-mart and picked up two new ones (cold and hot). Can I just take this opportunity to tell all of you that I LOVE that Wal-mart is 24 hours and that I hate going there in the late dark hours! They had 3 cop cars in front of the entrance arresting some prostitutes! Anyway, I went home plugged one of the humidifiers in the kids room and FINELY at 4:45am went back to bed. I can't tell you how tired I am today, but with all that effort, Rylee is doing some what better today. She's at least coherent, walking around and eating lots of popsicles. I'm really ready for this nasty season to be over and done with. Aren't you?

Sick and Tired of being sick and tired!!!!!!!!!

I'm sick of this nasty guy visiting us.... I want to be healthy for more then a day.... I want a good night sleep for more then one night..... I want to go a whole month (or more) without a single cold/flu induced cough, runny nose, sneezing or tummy ache!!!!!

My poor kids are just miserable and I feel sooooooo bad that there isn't anything I can really do for them. When they give me that little look like, " help me mommy, I don't feel good, I have a tummy ache, I can't breath, I'm tired and my throat hurts". I just want to take what's wrong with them away and not let it affect them anymore! ): I hope you all are having better luck at this cold and flu season then we are having!!!

Potty training success!

My BIG Boy is

100% POTTY TRAINED!!!

Last week, BO decided that he didn't want to wear diapers anymore. He started wearing "big boy pants" threw the night and everything! He's been #2 potty trained for a really long time now, but never really cared about going pee in the toilet. I didn't have to really do anything, it was great! Anyway, YEAH BO!!!!
