I'm in trouble!

This evening while I was cleaning the kitchen, I went to check on Kodi (usually she puts things in her mouth that I have to take out). Anyway, she had climbed up the first step and was working on going up the full flight of stairs, little stinker, I'm not ready for her to start climbing yet!

Then about a half hour later, I heard her grunting and I found her doing this!!!

I know... I'm in trouble, she's only 8 months old!!! AHHHHHH!!!!

Yesterday, Owen called me and told me not to make dinner. Usually that means that he is getting a pizza, his mom is going to make something she likes or he wasn't mac n cheese! Well, when he got home, he surprised me and had his mom watch the kids while he and I had a well needed night to ourselves at dinner! It was wonderful!!! Thanks honey and I love you!

Owen's side job!

Owen is doing a side job for a lady that he use to teach how to fly helicopters. He is the General Contractor for her kitchen remodel. This remodel doubled the size of her kitchen, opened it up a LOT, added a bathroom and re tiled her entryway, dining room, kitchen and laundry room. This

whole re model is costing close to $160 thousand dollars, that's half of a whole house for most people! Anyway, They started this kitchen from the ground up (that meaning the cement, frame work, all the way to the plumbing and the electrical work!) I think it is a beautiful job and I'm proud of the hard work Owen did at helping design it! Good job honey! Anyway, it's almost done and I'll try and post the finished work!

What a good helper!

About a week ago, Bo went to work with Owen on a side job Owen is doing. He helped Owen haul in the boards. Owen said all the construction people in the neighborhood, stopped what they were doing and just watched Bo do his thing. If you know Bo, you can totally picture his little man strut and his "deep" voice (trying to be a man) saying, "got it dad, got it!" What a big, little helper!!!

He did what he was told! lol

Yesterday, I told Bo to get ready to go outside. He knows he can't go outside without his shoes and socks. Well, while I was trying to get the other two kids ready to go, I found Bo in my room doing this! (:

He is such a goof ball, I love this kid!

Pool time!!

We went swimming for play group today at a girl in the wards house. It was Kodi's first time in a pool and she loved it! She fell asleep half way threw the new adventure, cutie. Rylee thought she could do what the big kids were doing and I had to constantly remind her that she couldn't swim. One of the girls in the ward put her in a floaty raft so she could go in the middle of the pool. Bo HATED the water at first but then later realized it wasn't all that bad (until he went under). I guess better luck next time!lol

CONGRATULATIONS!!!

My little sister Elicia just had her second baby this morning on June 24, 2008. Little Mercedes was born at 11am'ish weighing in at 8lbs 4oz and 20 1/2 inches long. Elicia was induced this morning at 7am and only had to push once to get her out. Mom and baby are doing really good! When I get a picture, I will post it.

We are staying here in Vegas another 2-3 weeks. We are now looking for a rental in Page again. Owen said nothing is for sure, but I will keep posting what's going on when I find it out.lol

Moving update!

AHHHHHHHHH (that is the story of my life right now)!We still don't have a house to move into and we still aren't 100% sure if we are staying in Vegas or going to Page. I am going crazy not knowing all the details and only having 10 days til we have to move out of this home! We are waiting to see if we now got the job in Page. If we didn't, then we will have to stay here for another few months until the job in Page is ready! We still have to move out of this home, since the landlord leased it to someone else that is moving in on the 1st. I have started packing and de-junking, but I still just need to know what is going on and where we are going to end up! Oh, one more thing... There is finally a home for rent in Page, so now if we can here back from the job, we can hopefully get the house before it's rented out to someone else. Those of you that are familiar with the Page area, know that this is a once in a life time that a home is actually for rent! I'll try to keep everyone updated as I find things out.

I put Kodi to bed with no CLOTHES on... I did leave the diaper on, she just took it off this particular morning! (;

No clothes for Kodi

Last night, when I laid Kodi down to go to bed I didn't put any clothes on her. For the past three nights now, she has slept threw the night and I want to believe it's because she's had nothing on. Well, I went to check on her this morning and she took her diaper off too. Goofy kid!!!

YEAH & CONGRATULATIONS!!!

My sister Jana just delivered a healthy baby GIRL!!! They named her Skylar (spelling) and she weighs 8lbs 14oz and is 21 inches long. This is her third pregnancy and her fourth baby girl. She pulled off a double V back (vaginal birth after 2 c-sections) and I am so happy for her. Her water broke last night so she went to the hospital where she slowly progressed. She was giving an epidural and put on a low dose of the "pit". It took her 40 minutes to push her out, but she DID IT!!! She has wanted to have a natural birthing experience and now she can say, she did it!!! I heard it was a very emotional time for her and I don't blame her (I would have been balling if I were there and I wasn't even the one delivering the baby). I'll post some pictures when I get some.

Kodi started to sit up all by herself yesterday. It's become her favorite thing to do. I'll leave her in her crib to sleep and when I go check on her, she is sitting up laughing at me like, "hahaha, I can almost not listen to you!" She is enjoying sitting and eating at the same time. I'm not ready for her to get big yet and she's enjoying every minute of it!

Frog update

Rylee came walking up the stairs really upset just now holding one of the three frogs. She said, it was dead and that Duke (our dog) ate it! I keep the frogs up really high on our shelf, so I was a little confused to here the news. I went down stairs to see how the heck the frog got out. To my not so surprised self, I found the entire cage on the floor! She had pushed a stool over to the counter and climbed on top of the counter, then reached up and got the cage down from off the cabinet. Little stinker, so now we only have 2 frogs!

Anyway, The other day while Rylee and Bo were watching Bambi, Rylee asked me why Bambi was sad (it was the part where his mom gets killed and he's looking for her). I explained to Rylee that his mom had been shot by the hunters and died. I didn't think she totally understood what I was trying to explain to her, so I dropped it. Boy..... Was I just proved WRONG!!! She totally understood every bit of what I was telling her. She keeps telling me, that her frog is dead and that Duke is a really bad dog because he ate it. I can only imagine the elaborate story Owen gets tonight when he walks in the door. (;

Dinner at the Bellagio

Last night, Owen took me with Heidi and Mike (our really good friends from Vegas) to eat at the Bellagio. It was so yummy. I tried EVERYTHING (except their sushi (not a fan of that) but I even tried a muscle and I loved it!!! I was really surprised when I ate it, I thought it would be really nasty and be super chewy, but it wasn't at all. Anyway, all in all it was a lot of fun to have a well needed, relaxing night. Thanks Sheila for watching the kids so I could get some sanity in for the week!

While daddy sleeps

I asked Owen to give the kids a bath and he did, but this is what I found him doing!

The kids have really enjoyed this little shark in the water thing. They like to have it float around the tub and then they jump out yelling and screaming saying, "It's gonna get me!!!" To cute to pass up!!!

the new crawl

She crawls now! She's now 7months and 5 days old and she is crawling.

Bo the wrestler? lol

Nope! Actually he is trying to ride Rylee "the horse". Rylee is in this animal stage and she really likes being a horse or a dog. Bo was just a little to heavy for her. Our kids are just funny kids! lol

Growing frogs! (Part 2)

OK, I didn't post much about my tadpoles that I was growing into frogs the first time because they died! I didn't know much about what to feed them, how to take care of them and I had no clue what kind of frog they were going to grow into. I did some research after they died to make a second attempt. I found out that they are tree frogs, they eat flying insects and they need clean, non chlorinated water. I was so excited about my discovery that I went back to the place I went the first time and got two more tadpoles and a little frog. I have been successful for the past two weeks with them. They are all now frogs and it was so fun to watch them grow into frogs. The kids have really enjoyed watching me feed them all the flies. I have been catching flies for them to eat, since we live next to the pig farm, our house is covered with them. Anyway, lets just say they eat really good!!! I'll have to keep you posted on their progress.

I started last year getting these "homemade" snicker doodles from a kid in my neighborhood for his school fundraiser. I think I am sold every time a kid comes around now. I love these cookies! They are soft, fluffy and just all over yummy. I totally recommend everyone to try them! (;

Moving messes

So if you haven't heard yet, we are moving to Page, Arizona sometime before July. To start, I have piles of everything, everywhere. I know I'm going to kick myself later for packing now but I feel like I need to start now to get a little organized. Now, Arizona has this weird law I guess that says in order to get a loan for a house, you have to have an Arizona based job with a pay stub. Well, that poses a problem. Owen doesn't start his job until July 1st and that's when we were wanting to move there. The house we want to get, we now can't. The home Owners don't even want to work with us. I don't blame them, since the market sucks right now anyway. Another problem that makes is, there are NO rentals there! So we are now hoping something comes up that allows us to get a house. Anyway, in the mean time I will just continue to pack up my house and hope for the best. Wish us luck!

Kodi's sitting!!!

Kodi is getting so big. I know she is 7 months old and all but I want her to stay small for just a little bit longer. She has been really trying to crawl now too. The most she does though is, she gets on her hands and knee's and rocks, she also army crawls backwards.

She is eating really good now. She really likes squash and sweet potatoes (but doesn't every kid?) Anyway, her favorite right now is crackers and the sweet potato cereal things. (pictures below, shows her picking one up and eating it)
