Mike and Heidi's visit

Mike and Heidi (Vegas firends), drove here to visit us. Although it was only for a day, we had a blast and were so glad they made the effort to come see us. We decided to take Mike and Heidi back to the "Lee's Ferry Canyon" and catch some frogs and take a dip in the water. Unfortunately the water was way to painfully cold for a swim, but we did get some tadpoles to grow! (: We had an enjoyable day and can't wait for them to come back to visit again. Thanks guys!!!

This is the view and walk on the Navajo bridge overlooking the Lee's Ferry canyon/Colorado river.

Mike and Heidi

This is the small walk we took to check out an old Mormon fort where there was once a small settlement.

These kids didn't want to come out of the water. It was so cold that their legs were bright red. Kodi kept telling me "owee", but she kept on getting back in.
This is one of the kids tadpoles that we caught. Isn't it cute?

Our Sunday family outing (:

We found out that we are surrounded by beauty, and love it!!!
We started the day with a fun four wheeling/picnic on a really fun plateau. It was kind of scary having my kids so close to the edge of so many cliffs, but if was amazingly beautiful and we had a blast!

We found and saw so many lizards and jack rabbits. The kids had fun looking for them. This little guy, wasn't even afraid of us!

This is the view of Lake Powell on top of the plateau. Beautiful, don't you think?

This little strip of green, is where we live and what we could see of it from the top of the plateau.

The kids taking a break from the four wheeler and looking for more lizards.
We drove to the "cliff dwellers" little site and walked and climbed around there for a bit.

Our kids definitely love to climb on things (:
We drove to this beautiful site overlooking the Navajo bridge and the Lee's Ferry canyon/Colorado river.

Just breathtaking!
Than we drove down into the "Lee's ferry" canyon Which is the other side of the bridge and down where the water is, and walked to the water. It is sooo beautiful and I can't wait to go fishing and camping there. (:

Yesterday 6/12

These three are of Owen
These three are of Bridger
Bridger (Owen's brother) was in town for a few day. Yesterday they went biking and hiking for the day while the kids and I took a short trip to St. George to get provisions from Costco. Owen and Bridger had a great time trying to kill my poor baby Duke while on their little excursions. He's fine, just at one point Owen ended up carrying him out of the canyon on his shoulders. The guys seemed like they had a blast.
On the other hand....
I did NOT! I went to St. George like I said before, hung out with my sisters (Jana, Erika and Sierra) for a while, then headed to Costco where the REAL fun began. I get there, get all the way threw the line and get told that they can't take the "new account checks" or debit cards without a pin number. Let me just explain... When we moved to Page, we had to go with a whole new bank. Then They don't give you a pin until you get your card and physically walk in the bank and punch it in. I have only had my card for a day at this point. Well, it is partially my fault too, since I did have real checks and forgot to grab them when I left home. Ok, now back to the story. So, I have to leave my cart there to figure out a way to get cash with NO pin. I tried some other ways and they all failed. Brad, my wonderful brother in law, came to my rescue and brought me some cash (and I wrote him a check) and was able to get me groceries. Now, it doesn't stop there... NO... I get back on the road at 8 and have a lovely blow out mid way between Hurricane and Ferdonia. Once my tire is fixed, My Tahoe wont start (we've been having issues with the battery for a few months now and it's really killing me now). This really cute family pulled over and helped me change the tire and jump my car. They even fallowed me the rest of the way to Ferdonia, cause I'm special and he could tell (I'm sure)!!! In Ferdonia, I decided that maybe I should call Owen and let him know that I'm going to be a bit late. I started looking for my phone and realized that I had it in my back pocket when I was changing the tire and that it had fallen out. So, the whole rest of the way home, I'm just waiting for a deer or a cow to jump out in front of me to top off my wonderful day! Thank goodness nothing like that happened and I made it home just fine. So, with the bank issue, Tahoe issues and the dang phone to top it off, we are home and not planning another trip, for a few weeks anyway, but Owen will be with us then!

Doggy Time..

Rylee and Bo cornered the dogs and gave them a "bath" with water and my hair comb. Duke stood by the back door and looked like he was begging me to tell them to knock it off! (: I'm sure the dogs really LOVED the attention they got the whole day. I just thought it was funny that he did stay by the door the whoe time with his nose pressed against the back door! (;

This is Rylee and Bo's favorite thing to do with Duke and I'm sure Kodi will catch on soon enough! (;

ERIKA'S GRADUATION
My sister Erika graduated from Spanish Fork high school on the 28th of May. Congrats Erika and again, sooooo sorry that we couldn't make it! We love you lots!!! (:
OUR NEW HOME AND GARDEN (:

These lizards are all over the place here. They have spikes like a horny toad, but don't look like a horny toad. They come in all sizes, but mostly REALLY BIG! (: The kids love lizard hunting and trying to catch them.

Our back yard actually has GRASS and FLOWERS!!! This may not sound like that big of a deal to any of you, but it sure means a lot to this family including the dogs! (: We haven't had grass, flowers or plants for that matter in the past 2 years!

We also have a GARDEN with lots of things growing in it! I pick something every day to eat from it and can't wait for the really yummy stuff to start growing (i.e. corn & squash)

Bo gardening with dad and then giving his famous wink! (:

We are HERE!!!

We made it!! We have officially moved from Las Vegas to our new home in AZ. We moved into a really cute older home that we are renting for a year until we build one of our very own! (: (can't wait til that happens) The kids love it here, Owen loves it here and I'm liking it just fine. I just miss having friends and hate starting all over again! ): Anyway, in the next few days, I'm going to try and post some pictures of the past week.

Things going on now:
~The major power line/breaker popped two days ago and scared the crap out of all of us. There was a really loud pop and a flash of light and than we had no power for a while.
~There are lots of really big lizards here that the kids love to find and torment, as well as lots of snails!
~I've had the pleasure of using the laundry mat here and it was a crowded experience. Our washer and dryer that we own doesn't work with this house, so we have to get new ones.
~The lake is only a hop... skip... and a jump away, so I'm sure we'll be living there as well! (:
~We have an already grown garden that we have really enjoyed.
~The weather is amazing here (well compared to Vegas).
