Grand Canyon & Lake Powell.. What a weekend!

First off... Thanks Jana and Brad for such a great weekend again, you guys are awesome!

We started our weekend fun on Saturday when we headed to the Grand Canyon. We got DUMPED (rained) on for a good portion of the trip, but it made for a beautiful trip anyway.

This squirrel would let you get really close and it would sit still and pose for pictures.
My sister Jana and then BO showing off his guns in front of the tower.

This was actually a full double rainbow that was so bright and beautiful that we couldn't resist taking a few pictures of it!
Kodi messing in the sand.
Owen in his sand "lazy boy".
Owen trying the knee board.

Jana wake boarding
Brads improved skills on the wake board.
Owen
Our flag holder BO.
All the kids, Brad and Owen would get really dirty, then run as fast as they could from the beach to the water. It was funny to watch!

Our little fish.
The guys worked to hard and long on this sand castle. I think they were more into it than the kids were! lol

Looks like a fun trip. I got all caught up on your posts. Looks like you've been having tons of fun!
So what's your new business???? My sister made my button, so I have NO idea how to do it. Leave her a message at www.ramona-ramonathepest.blogspot.com and tell her you are my friend and I know she'll help you out!

A great time to go to the Grand Canyon is in June when they have the summer soltice. They have huge telescopes and people out there sharing there expertise about the stars. It takes up a good amount of the parking lot. This was at the South Rim. I do not know if they do it at the North Rim. It is free. Many of the telescope you have to climb a ladder to look through them. It is awesome! We went about the middle of June 5 years ago. It is beautiful there. We took the train ride, and stayed there about 3 days. They even have a train robbery, cowboy guitar playing and singing, and a shoot out before you leave to the Grand Canyon.
