Easter Weekend..

First, Yesterday was my father in law Jeff's Birthday, so HAPPY BIRTHDAY old man! (: We love you soooo much and can't wait for our annual dunes trip!
Second, we had our friends Liz and Nate over with their kids for the night last night. They were on their way threw to San Diego and just decided to grace us with their presence since we haven't seen them in over a really LONG year! We stayed up late visiting and got up early this morning, had a really yummy Easter breakfast and then the kids all got to check out what the Easter Bunny left for them! (sorry for some reason the camera was taking fuzzy pictures. I think it was stuck on a setting that I couldn't get un stuck from!)
Rylee got her first Barbie.

This kid was way to excited about candy!

The "Egg hunt"

Before I go onto what our "Egg hunt" is all about, let me first just saw that yesterday was lots of fun. The morning session of conference, was touching and I loved and enjoyed all the speakers again. I had no interruptions and got to listen to the entire thing. For the afternoon session, we went to our friends Matt and Britt's house for a pot luck lunch. I didn't really pay to much attention to what the speakers said, but got bits and pieces (I was just having to much fun with the company and the kids! (: ). When I got home, I pulled the afternoon session up on the laptop and watched the whole thing while I made cards. I am so glad that I took the time to re-watch it, because I got sooo much out of all of the talks given. Again, I am so grateful for the opportunity that I had to watch all the General authorities/apostles and the Prophet speak. They are truly people of God! (:
OK, now on to the "Egg hunt" and some other funny stories that happened today.
This morning, I got up at 7am (that is really early for this house hold) got ready for the day and got the kids up and did the same for them. We headed to Wal-mart to get some plastic eggs and some little treats to go inside them for our ward Easter Egg hunt. In the parking lot outside Wal-Mart, a little man and his wife asked if I would help jump start there car. Rylee asked what I was doing and I told her that I was going to help start the mans car cause it had died. She looked at me really funny and said, "Why doesn't he bury it and get a new one mom?" kids these days!!! I started the mans car and went on my way to the park where the ward gathering was going to be held. I pulled up to the park and start loading the eggs with the treats and Rylee (being the talkative one this morning) asked, "why are you putting the treats in the eggs?" I told her that we had to do that so they wouldn't know what was in there (exactly) when they go hunt the eggs. This next comment shocked the heck out of me when she said, "but if we shoot them mom, than we can't eat the candies." Needless to say, I explained what an Easter egg hunt is and then she was OK with it. The kids ALL had a blast and can't wait to have another egg hunt. (:

My little helper

Last night, Owen made the kids a deal that if they cleaned the living room they could have a root beer float. Rylee cleaned the whole thing all by herself and Bo just sat. Well he wasn't to happy, that Rylee got one and he didn't, so I told him that if he helped me clean a few things, I would let him have some too. (side note, when Bo goes the the bathroom, EVERYTHING must come off! After he was finished in the bathroom, he didn't want to put anything back on... Whatever!) Anyway, he helped me take some dirty clothes upstairs, cleaned the counter off in the bathroom and helped me fold some blankets that were left on the couch. He's so helpful when he want to be! (:

General Conference

179th Annual General Conference
I am feeling so blessed today, that I was able to watch and listen to the speakers in this Saturday session of General Conference. I absolutely loved the talks given and can't wait for tomorrows session. I am really glad that we live in a day where we have a living prophet that can speak to us and give us council.
It's funny..... I feel like we really do our best to be Christ like, then I listen to what the prophet and his councilors say and I have to add to my list of what we aren't doing or what we can improved. I hope you all got lots out of the experience and strive to be more Christ like! (:

If you missed the Saturday session of Confrence, click this link and watch it (or if you just want to watch the whole thing including Sunday's)-

ITALY trip

We are back!!! Just in case you were wondering what the heck happened to us, we went to Italy for a week and just got back last night. Can I just tell you that Owen and I had such a fantastic time there!?! Owen's parents kept our kids while we were in Italy with the help of other friends and family members (thanks to all that helped her!!!). Anyway, it was such an amazing adventure that we will NEVER forget! We ended up going with Tony (a guy from Owen's past two helicopter jobs) and Tony's cousin Lisa, her husband Steve and their friends Andrea, Eddy, their baby Colbey, Mildrid and Sammy.
We landed in Milan on the 18th, drove to Como, stayed in Nesso (3 miles away from Bellagio) and visited Venice, Florance and Rome. Enjoy the pictures....
This is at the bottom of our villa, just a few flights of stairs down. lol
The view from our villa.
Our room and the back of the villa.

This is a church that was right next to our villa. There is one every 3-4 blocks apart from each other and they all look exactly the same along the Lake Como.
Dinner at the Bellagio just 3 miles away from the villa. (Just a side note about the food in Italy.... It is the BEST food ever and I have never tasted spaghetti like they have in Italy!!!)

Game night. This was such a funny night. We all stayed up til 5-6am and played catch phrase. We all laughed so hard, our cheeks hurt! We had a really funny group! (;
The whole group at the Como train station. We were on our way to Venice.
Owen and I playing in our hotel room in Venice.
Venice Bus/boat ride.
Owen and I on the Ponto vecchio bridge in Florence.

These are the gladiators that walk around the coliseum taking pictures with the tourists. The short haired one is David and I tipped him for giving us directions and being a goof ball, so he insisted that I take some pictures with he and his partner. The long haired one, Owen and I both thought was going to kiss me, so I totally couldn't keep a strait face. Then David did a threat pose with Owen and then laid one on my cheek! I was so red and laughing so hard, it was a fun experience for sure!!! (;
